Ideas

1. Unboxing video/game show -

The show would revolve around the contestants opening strange or weird products or items and guessing how much they are or what they are used for or they would rate how strange it is out of 5 and whether they would keep it or have bought it for themselves. The target audience for this would be mid teens. This idea would be similar to Akidearest’s, a youtuber, series called Why Japan?! where she buys and uses then rates strange or weird products from Japan. 

2. Cooking show -

A cooking tutorial for young adults around 17 to 25 who have moved into their own space teaching them how to cook something basic for themselves to help them become more independent as they get used to living on their own.

3. Acoustic and vocals cover of a song -

There will be either 1 or 2 people one doing the vocals and the other doing the acoustic. The target audience would be for mid to early twenties depending on the song they would cover.

My chosen idea is the cooking show/tutorial. I chose this idea as it would be the easiest idea for me to do for this project as I don’t have the money or people to do the first idea and for the last one I don’t have the instruments or people to do that idea either but for the second idea I have the resources, the people and the space to do this idea for this project. 

I will film someone making a meal, list the ingredients and the instructions as they go along making the meal. They will make a simple meal that is easy to follow and the ingredients aren’t too hard to get or some that everyone would have anyway.

The multicam part would be filming their hands as they cut up some food or something like that and medium shots as they explain something or are standing at the hob. 

To do this I would need 2 cameras as this is the multicam project, one to film the medium shots and the other of the close ups of the food. I would need some kitchen space and someone who knows how to cook. Since lockdown and covid is still an issue affecting everyone's planning I will probably have to end up filming this at home.

Plan B

If lockdown hadn't happened then I would be able to borrow 2 cameras from spring board and a zoom mic too to record audio, not only that but others on the course who are experienced with filming could help me get good shots as I will be using 2 cameras so the person using the other would have to know what to look for in a good shot.
