Filming 

I filmed in my kitchen with my phone, my mum’s phone and my sister’s phone, as my mum’s phone didn’t have enough storage to film the whole thing. My sister helped me film. She filmed the medium close up of my mum explaining what she was doing as she was going and I filmed the close up of what my mum was doing. The shoot went well and it didn’t take that long too my mum spoke clearly enough and my sister’s filming was good, my mum got a glass of wine out which she didn't tell me about but I couldn't really do anything about it. If we hadn’t been in lockdown then obviously a couple people from the course would have helped me film and I would have been able to film with the proper cameras from Springboard.

Logo

Before I start to edit I need to make a logo/ title card for my cooking show I am going to draw it in a drawing program because I have an idea of what I’d like it to look like. I’d like it to be yellow orange with red letters and the font to be kinda flowy and bubbly. I will also include in it some sort of cutlery or plate.

I went onto Ibis Paint X and made the logo. I wanted it to be simple and fun. I drew a yellow circle and drew some splashes coming off of it because I thought it would look nice and they could be some sort of sauce and maybe the circle could look like a plate.

Then I went through the fonts I was going to write the title myself but wanted to look at the fonts first. A couple of them I thought looked good but the one I chose I think was the best and really adds to the logo.

After I had the font and circle they looked good but I felt like they were missing something so I drew in a spoon and folk and then I felt it was complete. Then I had my complete logo and went on to edit it onto the video.

Editing

I loaded all the stuff I needed into the editing software. I then started on editing the title card. When I first loaded it in it was too big so I had to scale it down to fit the screen. I then thought about what I could do to make it somewhat interesting so it’s not just the title on screen for a couple seconds so I faded it.

I thought that it would be better with a little music to it too so I went on the internet to find a sound that would go well with my cooking show and the logo too. I found one that I thought would go well with the title card and it does so I downloaded it and added it into the timeline.

I then started to edit the footage together. I put the better of the 2 audios as the main audio and put both parts of footage in the timeline at the same time and cut out the shots of the close up that I thought looked bad and would look better in the medium close up. I went through and did this until I got to the end of the clip I then watched through to see if the clips I put together worked well.
